Changes on the blog

Hello, my dears.

It’s November and I wanted to announce some general blog changes. I’ve been doing this blog for five years now, and it’s been a lot of fun. I still really enjoy it! But when the pandemic hit it became hard for me to focus and keep up with a weekly post. I’ve been redirecting a lot of the energy that was here into writing new things, of course, but also I think my heart is just not as in it as I was.

So I think it’s time for me to branch out into different mediums. That said, I’ll be keeping up the Reading Round-up (which you can also get via my mailing list) every month and probably at least one personal post or deeper dive post into a book or movie. But I will not be shooting to post every week unless I’m just feeling extra spicy. Instead I intend to try to also crosspost the Reading Round-ups as a video post for folks who want a quicker update. I’m also going to do quick videos on writing news and the like. The video medium experiment is something I’m having a lot of fun with, and you can find my posts on Instagram and TikTok right now.
