Today’s post is a list of the ARCs I have in my TBR because I’m in a reading slump and I’m therefore having trouble getting through my tiny stack. Some of these books are out already — some I’ve read earlier iterations of, even! I’m pretty sure I’m going to review all of these eventually, but since a couple of them have already published I want to make sure they’re on your radar!
The Twice-Drowned Saint by C.S.E. Cooney
This book is the standalone and newly edited version of the novel by the same name that was published in A Sinister Quartet originally, so I’ve read one version of it. This one has even fancier and lovelier interior graphics! Plus I loved this story so much the first time that I am excited to read a new iteration. It came out on February 7th of this year.
The Collected Enchantments by Theodora Goss
I really loved the other collection from Mythic Delirium by this author, Snow White Learns Witchcraft. Some of the same stories make an appearance, but there’s a lot new. I’ve actually already started this book, but as it is a collection of stories and poems I am sort of meandering through it at my leisure. It came out February 14th of this year.
The Adventures of Amina al-Sarafi by Shannon Chakraborty
I’m not going to lie, this is one of my most anticipated books of 2023. I never thought I would get an ARC. When I did, you could have knocked me over with a feather. But then I realized…it was a Harper Collins title. (Insert wailing here.) Luckily the union is back in the office today, new contract successfully ratified, so I can review this book! I’m currently about a third of the way through and loving every minute of it, so look for that review hopefully before next Tuesday.
Flight & Anchor by Nicole Kornher-Stace
I so enjoyed Firebreak, and I’m excited to read more about 06 and 22. This book is out in June, so I’ve got some time to get caught up!
Where Echoes Die by Courtney Gould
This was a surprise ARC, an invite from the publisher because I loved Wake the Bones. It also comes out in June, so I think I can make it!
Anyway, I’ve read relatively few books this month, so look for those reviews (some sooner than later) and a round-up next month. Until then!
