Blog things

So you may have noticed I haven’t been writing much! That doesn’t look likely to let up soon. I’ve paused my Patreon, and will probably be unpublishing (though this means that I will be charged higher fees if I ever publish my page again, and I’m considering that in my decision making over the next month).

The blog will also be going a bit dark. I’m basically going to post when I feel jazzed or have an announcement. Otherwise you probably won’t be hearing from me much. I don’t foresee the blog going away entirely, but unfortunately something has to give somewhere in life, and this is a place where it can do so for now.

My guess is that I will be taking about a year off from regular blog and social media posting, which wasn’t an easy decision. My writing has been abysmally slow for the past two years, most especially for the past year. I’m just a little burned out. There are also a few exciting things in the pipeline that I definitely want to give my full attention to in order to make them the best they can be. You’ll hear about those as I can talk about them (one of those announcements should come this week!)

Ultimately blogging and social media are marketing tools that are meant to supplement my writing career, which is more focused in writing the damn books and getting them to print. If writing the books is not happening, it’s time to regroup!
