Hey folks, I fell off the map for April! Surprise!
I had two really good reasons for disappearing for a bit. The first was travel. We took a big family vacation, pictures to follow in another post, it was a blast! As usual, getting out of the house for vacation somehow becomes three times as hard with the addition of a small human to shepherd, and as my dayjob continues to be, in the words of my youth, A LOT, I then had the fun mix of being totally in the grind right before I left and absolutely underwater for two weeks upon my return. Huzzah!
But there was an even more fun reason for me to vanish in this time! And that was book stuff!
You heard that right, I’ve been doing book stuff. Specifically, I’m working on the launch of A River Wide! At last, the Appalachian witch thriller of my heart will be out in the world!
ARCs should be up in the next week or so – look out reviewers! The cover reveal is live on the publisher’s Patreon and I will get to share it very soon. The book is officially out this September!
I so hope you all enjoy it. And Rhia. I hope you love Rhia as much as I do.
Mountains have deep, dark hearts, and those hearts are carved by water. Living in the shadowed hollers of Appalachia, Rhia Blackburn has always kept her powers and her heart buried. Around here, the river whispers dark secrets, the earth remembers every cut, and survival is a skill women pass down in blood. But when her cousin Amey goes missing, Rhia is forced to confront the terrors of her home and her own troubled history. To save Amey, Rhia must trust her powers—and herself—because in these mountains family comes first and water always finds a way.
An Appalachian horror novella about family, grief, and the stubborn strength it takes to survive.
